As the local chapter for a nonprofit national organization, OCA-NOVA supports OCA National's programs for education, advocacy, and leadership, in addition to local programs such as the Willston Center English For Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Scholarship Fund and OCA-NOVA Service Corps. In addition, OCA now has a permanent home in Washington , DC (The OCA National Center for Asian American Leadership), which will provide all Asian Pacific Americans a greater voice for the community.

OCA-NOVA is an important part of the APA community. OCA-NOVA chapter board presidents and members have also making significant contributions in the OCA's National Board and other APA organizations.

OCA-NOVA opened year 2007 by holding its annual Chinese New Year's Banquet and Dance. 230 attendees were there celebrating this special time with us. Amongst all, were sponsors and supporters including Booz Allen, State Farm, and APABA Education Fund as well as OCA members from National Board and local chapters across the nation.

In addition, OCA NOVA will work with the National Board to put together the OCA National Convention Year 2008, to be held here in Washington, DC. We expect this event to be a significant remark for the APA community. In order to make this a success, we would very much need your help educating the community about the role of Asian Pacific American, and therefore realizing the importance of coming together towards the betterment of the APA community by supporting a commnity event hightlight as such. We strongly encourage your supports in any mean towards this event.
